Researchers of Tehran University and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad: The High Effectiveness of the Recombinant Peptide made by Iranian Researchers is a Potential Alternative to Common Antibiotics.

In a joint activity, researchers from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Tehran University and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad confirmed the positive effect of a recombinant antibacterial peptide (cLF36) made from camel milk in inhibiting microbial agents (including viruses and various bacteria). The review article of these researchers has been published in Nature.

The results of this research are taken from the doctoral thesis of Moin Khodayari, a student of veterinary medicine at Tehran University, under the guidance of Dr. Jamshid Razmyar, a member of the faculty of Tehran University, and Dr. Mohammad Hadi Sakhavai, a member of the faculty of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

It should be noted that the results of the research of Iranian researchers in the past 2 decades regarding this peptide were published in a review article in a journal of the Nature Springer publishing group called Probiotics and Antimicrobial Proteins with an impact factor of 5.4.
